Location
The Waitomo Ski Club is located in the Iwikau Village at the top of the Bruce Road in the Tongariro National Park. This park is in the Central North Island and contains the mountains of Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngarahoe. Tongariro is an active volcano.
The lodge sits on Salt Ridge along with a number of other lodges. It is opposite day carpark number two. It is a short walk up a marked track to the lodge. The name of the club is on the front of the building and is easily visible from the road.
In winter the lodge can be in the snow.
